Why does one close a book before finishing a chapter?

Is it because the story failed to capture its audience quickly enough?

Is it because they realized that this wasn’t the genre they were looking for afterall?

Is it because they never actually wanted to read in the first place; maybe just sneak a peak to see what it’s about?

Or maybe they judged the book by its cover and their discovery of its contents were not enticing enough.
